Some factors to keep in mind when selecting a braiding machine for fishing net production:

Number of carriers: The carriers is the moving element where the bobbin with the thread to be braided is loaded. Braiding machines for fishing nets typically have 16 spindles.
Gauge: Diameter in mm of the plate. This determines the capacity of the spool bobbins. In fishing nets, Ect.115 is generally used, as it offers high speed, strength, and versatility, ideal for manufacturing ropes between Ø2mm and Ø6mm. However, Ect.140 is also used, as it offers a larger bobbin capacity of 1,211 cm3 (compared to 547 cm3 for Ect.115) and allows extending the reel change cycle for each machine. Ideal for braids between Ø5 and Ø9mm.
Crosswinding collector: It is necessary to prepare bobbins with a cross-fold. The Ratera braiding machine incorporates a collector that directly prepares these bobbins. For perfect collecting, Ratera offers the option to add a tension column with adjustable weights to adjust the winding tension.
