In the world of elastic braiding, we can classify them into two types of construction:
- Flat braiding: The flat braiders use an odd number of carriers. Elastic cores are fed into the machine through tubes in the middle of drilled horn gears.
- Round braiding: The round braiders use an even number of carriers. The elastic core is introduced into the machine through tubes located in the center of the machine.
RATEX System by Ratera is one of the main features of the elastic braider. It allows for stretching the rubbers to the desired elongation before they enter the braiding process. Available in various sizes and formats depending on the strength of the rubber.
