Ratera also offers special machinery for very particular constructions, such as Soutache, Indian braid, or President.

Some examples of the special braiding machines that Ratera offers are:
- Soutache Braiders: The carriers move in the shape of an 8, all in the same direction. Optionally, 2 cores can be incorporated. The machines are available with various numbers of carriers: 3, 5, 7, 9, etc., up to 21.
- Indian Braid: With carriers holding the bobbin in a horizontal position, this machine is ideal for braiding flat leather tapes and making round braided leather loops.
- Diamond Braiding : This braider is very similar to flat braiding, but, with a geometry of carriers and plates, achieves a diamond pattern in the braiding.IUn
- President Braiding: The final product has a flat appearance with a special combination of colors.
- Flat and Round Braiding. This machine constructs a single cord that has a flat part and a round part along the braid. The union of the two parts is made in the same machine by braiding. A very common example is the 25 x 19B-E80 braider.
